IMG_3861Hi! I’m Chance and I’m recovering from starvation and neglect. I’m somewhere between 2 and 4 years old but age is a state of mind so I act like a puppy most of the time!
My foster family wishes they knew my story but I’m sure glad I don’t have to tell them about it because I never want to relive that nightmare again.
I was near death but I was still super sweet (if I must say so myself). My loving eyes reached into a teenage girls heart, who later figured out a way to save me with the help of www.luvabull.org. I’m so happy that I’ve been given a second chance to live and to be somebody’s good dog, so they call me Chance.
I’m currently staying in a house with 2 labs, 3 cats and 2 older kids who I love SO MUCH!! The humans are super happy that I pretty much ignore the cats but I gotta give the cats some credit; they dont give chase so they are pretty boring -they were used to dogs already!
I’m ready for my new family; here’s a little more about me:
I’m housbroken. Unbelievable I know, but it’s true, my foster family is utterlly amazed.
I’m definitely dog friendly. I get along best with submissive females because I love to share personal space and some males don’t like that:( I love to cuddle up in bed with the other pups in my house, including the dominant male lab. I’ll admit, there was a minor dog scuffle or two over food and bones but it’s that big male dog that lives there, he starts squabbles with me when I get in his space but I just haven’t learned all about this personal space thing yet!
I’m very well mannered in the house, and I love dog beds. I don’t mind the crate when it’s necessary, especially when I get a peanut butter kong, antler or nylabone to pass the time in there.
I do not destroy items in the household like shoes or furniture etc. I stay off the furniture unless I’m invited up for some cuddles!
So what do I need to work on? Well..you cant let me in the bathroom if you expect to shower alone! I will join you and I can’t helpmyself! If you have an actual door on your shower, I’ll be okay sitting outside waiting for you. Otherwise just don’t let me in.

I love the pool, but I’m still learning manners. Pool floats do not stand a chance against me! I recently learned how to go in the backyard and stay out of the pool so I’m a fast learner! The pool creepy crawly is the enemy and I must be reminded to leave it alone otherwise I prefer to chase it down but I’m almost completely trained on that one!

The one thing I need to improve is my relationship with the leash. I love it but hate it at the same time. I’m already making great strides in leash training. I’ve never seen a leash before so this is all new to me.

I spend a lot of time just snoozing and relaxing in the house. I love to be pet, but if you stop giving me love I’ll let you know! I’ll lift my head and stare at you until you give me pets again(:

If you are dog savvy and up for moderate training, I will be your best buddy ???

Ps I’ve been neutered and I have no bad peeing habits to break?
