One year ago today, a very special hippo and I celebrated our Birthdays. A crowd full of people sang Happy Birthday as she dove into her very own Angel food cake with whipped cream. I never knew when Angel was born, so I made my Birthday hers. It was the first time we celebrated an Angel Birthday and I knew it would likely be her last but I’m so happy we did. Happy Birthday my Angel. I love you and hope today, wherever you are, you’re stomping your little velvet feet and eating cake. ?
