img_1095The SUFP Foundation spoke to the vet yesterday and Sally’s chest x-rays and blood panel came back great. She also tested negative for heart worm or any tick born illnesses. They did aspirate two lumps on her and, sadly, one came back as a cancerous mast cell tumor. Additionally, Sally has a broken canine tooth that will either need to be bonded and fixed or removed.
We have scheduled her for surgery to get fixed, tooth fixed (possibly) and tumor removed for Oct 7th. Once the tumor has been removed it will be tested so we know what grade of tumor it is. Our hope is that it’s a low grade tumor and that any further mast cell disease can be managed with proper diet and regular check ups.
Oct 7th will likely cost the SUFP Foundation over $5000 so if any breeders would like to donate, you can do so at standupforpits.us.

We will keep you all posted on previous Sally but for now she is eating, getting her medicated baths, plenty of love, playing and doing great.
