Right now, today, this very minute, the shelters are FULL of dogs just like Sally. Hundreds will die today in Los Angeles County alone yet countless twat waffles insist on breeding dogs and douche canoes continue to buy them. If you are thinking about adding a life into yours (that’s what these are-they are lives NOT toys or hobbies) then please take your ass to a shelter and adopt one or if you don’t want to go to the shelter, then get on petfinder.com and look up responsible rescues in your area and adopt one that best suits your lifestyle. Letting your young child pick the dog cause it’s cute or they saw one like it in a cartoon or in a movie or picking a dog because you think it makes your muscles look bigger is also not okay. Educate yourself on the breed that interests you and know what they require. Then ask yourself if your lifestyle fits their needs and make an educated decision. Dogs cost money. A lot of money. Account for that as well. Adopt with a plan that includes forever.
Sally was headed for a garbage bag in a freezer at any minute. SUFP saved her today, so she wins but hundreds will not win today.
Not a fun or sweet post but millions of animals dying due to human ignorance and greed ain’t sweet or fun. It’s shameful and it needs to stop.
