This is Olive. The upper left corner photo is what Olive looked like when she was brought into the South LA shelter. Olive is a Ghetto Rescue dog and has been in boarding since August 20th at the Downtown Dog Rescue facility in Los Angeles. She is approximately 6 years old, housebroken, doesn’t care for cats, likes to play fetch, is okay on needs work. Great with kids and needs to be an only dog. She is available for adoption now through Ghetto Rescue and I will be temporarily fostering her.

No, I will not be keeping her. I will be giving her a break from boarding by fostering her and doing all I can to get her some much needed exposure and I’m asking all of you to help. Please consider sharing this girl so she can get out of boarding once and for all and into a loving home she so much deserves. While the boarding facility she stays at provides safety, socialization and a good life for the dogs, it is not a home. If Olive is adopted it will open up another space for another pit bull type dog who is sitting on death row to be able to get pulled and too get a chance at life.

I will have her for 2 weeks and will be posting her and sharing what I learn about her and the Honest Kitchen has already jumped on board and will also be sharing her and will also be supplying her with food! Dogs like Olive take time to place but with persistence and working together (like we did for Lola) this girl can find her human.

She will be arriving today and I’ll be sure to keep you all informed about who she is and what I learn. My hope is we will all get to celebrate Olive getting her happily ever after.

If interested in this hippo contact Ghetto Rescue directly as they will be handling home checks and her adoption. [email protected]
