The Stand Up For Pits Foundation donated a $1000 grant to OCPBR at Stand Up For Pits Hollywood. They provided us some photos and a letter as to who the grant will be helping. I want to share this with you all and thank you for your continued support which allows us to keep doing all we do. To learn more about Orange County Pit Bull Rescue go to ocpbr.org.

“Hi Rebecca,

Thank you so much for the grant to help with our rescue and rehabilitation efforts. The money you have granted to OCPBR will be applied to the care of our girl, Hartley. Below is her bio and attached are some before and after photos showing the shape she was in when we rescued her.
Hartley is a petite one year old girl who was adopted out from an L.A. county high kill shelter in March on a medical waiver. Four months later, she was found abandoned in a field in terrible shape. Her previous owners had allowed her to suffer from a horrific, painful case of Demodex mange that they left untreated. Hartley was brought to the shelter again and her owner was put under criminal investigation. We were able to rescue Hartley and bring her into our foster program where we have spent $4,000 in veterinary, training and foster care expenses on her. Now, Hartley has been completely transformed and is a happy, healthy, active girl who is eager to learn and please everyone around her.

Thank You,
Laura Vena
