All tips are forwarded directly to investigators. The SUFP Foundation does not see or handle any of the information as it is private and confidential.
The SUFP Foundation is funding operations of the line and the HSUS will be paying the reward of up to $5000 for tips leading to the arrest or conviction of anyone involved in dog fighting.
SUFP will be placing billboards on freeways, free standing billboards in communities, signage on all 100 animal control vehicles and papering communities with posters and post cards.
Arresting and convicting dogfighters is only one part of this horror show. Many, if not all the dogs seized from fighting rings will be sick, infected, stressed and injured. Realistically, many of these dogs will be euthanized due to overcrowded shelters, lack of qualified and willing 501c3 rescues to take them on and lack of funds. These dogs often require significant rehabilitation that require behavior modification that can sometimes take years or may need to live out the rest of their lives in a sanctuary.
EVERY LIFE MATTERS and we’ll do all we can to see these victims get a chance but the rescue community has to actively participate. We are asking ALL West Coast and Midwest 501c3’s to please look into and consider becoming part of the HSUS DRC program and/or becoming approved by the County as a qualified rescue to take victims of dogfighting on.
