READ THIS AWESOME UPDATE from Forgotten Dogs Rescue in Washington State!!  Stand Up For Pits Foundation supporters ROCK!!! Great job everyone.  Keep up the amazing work!!

“The Stand Up For Pits Foundation posted Phoenix for Forgotten Dogs Rescue almost two months ago, a pregnant pit bull we rescued who had been shot numerous times in the stomach, and had numerous other health issues that would require care once her puppies were born and weaned.

We wanted to give an update and thank all of the SUFP supporters who donated towards her care!

Phoenix had to have an emergency c-section on February 25th because the puppies were too big to be born naturally. There were 6 puppies born, but tragically 4 of them had birth defects and passed away.
The 2 remaining puppies are now 7 weeks old and are doing great! They are mostly weaned and are full of spunk and personality. They’ll be ready to join forever homes after they’re 8 weeks old and have been spayed and neutered.
Phoenix is also doing wonderfully, she’ll be going into the vet to get several rotten teeth removed and her entropion eyelids fixed in the next two weeks, and then we’ll be scheduling her first ACL repair. Once she is completely healthy she’ll also be looking for a home of her own.
The bullet wounds on her stomach healed very well, and she has completely recovered from her c-section and spay.
Despite everything she’s been through, she’s the sweetest girl in the world with her foster mom and was an amazing mother.

Phoenix and her puppies both have Facebook albums, Phoenix’s is www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.967642843254513.1073742006.364134910271979&type=3

After the Stand Up For Pits Foundation posted Phoenix’s story, we also gained an AMAZING new volunteer who had recently moved to the area and saw our rescue through the SUFP post. She’s jumped in with both feet and we’re so grateful!
Thank you so much to SUFP and Rebeccca Corry for your support for this precious family and the amazing work you do!”-Katharine Farrington
