This goes out to all the people who think animal abuse “isn’t their problem.” Whether you own a Pitbull, like Pitbulls or animals at all. What is happening to Pitbulls is 100% your problem. It’s everyone’s problem. Wanna protect your kids, your loved ones and yourself? You may want to consider jumping in with the “crazy animal people” and making your voice heard. I wonder what the person walking freely in our society who mutilated Angel’s back and removed her ears is up to today? If you “don’t want to get involved” you may wanna buy some Pepper Spray and lock your doors.
FACTUALLY, 99% of all serial killers admitted they started their violence with animals before graduating to humans. Dog fighting is one of the most heinous acts of violence and abuse on the planet but sadly only one of the many forms of horrific acts humanity endlessly inflicts on animals daily. The more our society ignores this truth and refuses to focus on the sociopath’s committing these acts, the more dangerous our communities will become. Pitbull type dogs are the most abused and what is happening to them is a direct reflection of a very broken society. Turning a blind eye and lazily deeming the victims the “inherently dangerous” ones, banning and killing them not only avoids the problem completely, it ensures more violence towards humans and pets in the future. It is time our law makers, city officials and those who’s job it is to serve and protect us and our communities DO something.
To help make this happen we need to research the city officials and law makers in our cities, counties and states who support breed bans and write and call them. Let them know they will not have your vote should they continue blaming and banning the victims. Organize rallies and marches. Continue to educate others and yourselves.
