The human at the end of the chain, rope or leash is the problem. Pitbull type dogs are the victims of human ignorance and violence on a DAILY basis. BSL (Breed Specific Legislation) is not and has never been a solution to making communities safe. It is a costly and an ineffective way to avoid dealing with broken humans breaking the law by abusing, neglecting, fighting and killing dogs. How should compassionless humans with no regard for life be dealt with? I personally think they should be dragged behind a truck by their cocks and tits until their limbs fall off but since that’s not an option, how bout a little common sense. STOP BANNING THE VICTIMS and pass stricter laws against abusers and provide funding on a federal level to create jobs and programs in which these laws can be enforced. Example-In the city of Los Angels there are….wait for it….FIVE ACTF officers (Animal Cruelty Task Force) and there are NONE for the county of LA which inhabits 10.02 million people. I have a 7th grade math level but even I know that is not nearly enough man power to handle the amount of abuse, neglect and illegal activity going on. In August 2013 President Obama and the White House released an official statement speaking out against BSL and while it was huge for the leader of the free world to acknowledged BSL as ineffective and wrong there needs to be action. Until there is serious and swift action, making our communities safer for humans and pets will be up to us. We need to continue to encourage law makers to do the right thing, educate, advocate and report any and all violence you suspect or witness to local authorities over and over again until something is done. Here is the Huffington Post link to the 2013 Obama article and yes, Angel is the cover photo of the article and I have a few words to say in the piece. http://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/3785911
