Factually there is nothing more dangerous on earth than human beings. Factually, people who abuse animals will likely and most often times DO go on to commit crimes against humans. Fact-where there is dog fighting there is other crime and often against humans. Fact-the abuse, neglect and killing of animals is a massive epidemic and it makes our communities unsafe for humans and pets. Fact-the common denominator amongst all inmates on death row, regardless of ethnicity or crime committed is they have all abused, tortured or killed animals before killing a human. It does not matter one bit if you like Pitbull type dogs or dogs or animals at all, no one is asking you to become and animal lover but if you care about living in communities safe for humans and pets then the violence against animals MUST be taken seriously by EVERYONE. This is not just an issue for the “crazy animal people” to deal with. You, your children and your loved ones are too not safe from animal abusers. Further, to ban and vilify the victim (Pitbull type dogs) is blatant avoidance by our society to address the real problem. That problem being the dangerous HUMAN at the end of chain, rope or leash. Encourage your law makers to use the millions of tax payer dollars wasted on enforcing ineffective BSL (discrimination) laws to catch and prosecute sociopathic killers. Remind city officials their job is to serve and protect their communities. Please report abuse, neglect or dog fighting. Should you suspect a dog fight is in progress immediately call 911 and call the Humane Society tip line at 1-877-TIP-HSUS. There is an up to $5000 reward for tips leading to the arrest and/or conviction. Some people may only report for the chance at reward $$ because sometimes that’s what it takes to get people to report a friend, uncle, cousin, sister or brother.
